Overview

Life Elevated Inc. is an innovative technology-based health and wellness company. We are a Canadian company, that is incorporated in Manitoba, with headquarters in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

We sell advanced electronic assistive devices and services, based on a combination of the latest technologies and low cost technologies.

Life Elevated is a start up company that has big ambitions. We plan to grow into a $10 million company within 5 years, and be operating across Canada.

The company was founded in 2010 by two brothers, Raymond and Dennis Koverzin. They are both Electrical Engineers, with significant technology-based product development experience, as well as hi-tech business development experience. Raymond is located in Silicon Valley (San Jose, California), where he has worked for 22 years. Dennis is located in Winnipeg.

Both brothers have a passion to improve the quality of life of people and to develop and sell products and services that utilize the latest technologies.

Our first product is the CareMate® Service. This is a new type of electronic assistive service for seniors and family caregivers.

The brothers were inspired to create the CareMate® Service by their mother. Their mother is a very independent senior, who lives by herself in her own house, drives a car and bowls 3 times a week. But over the years, she has developed various health conditions, and now finds it difficult to carry out several important daily tasks. Her biggest problem is forgetting to take morning medication on time.

The sons have tried their best to assist their mother. But this is difficult for to them to do, because they lived far away, and had very busy lives. They find themselves stressed out from all the telephoning, visiting, and worrying that they do.

Two years ago, they said to themselves, "There must be a better way", and so was born Life Elevated, and the idea for the CareMate® Service.

They knew that there were millions of people who were in a similar situation as themselves. That is, there are millions of seniors who have difficulty living independently, and there are millions of family caregivers who are stressed out from providing assistance to senior loved ones.

They carried out extensive research (discussions with healthcare experts, interviews with seniors, family caregivers and support organizations), and uncovered the following:

• Most seniors very much desire to live independent, and they strongly did not want to move into a nursing home.
• Existing assistive products and services for seniors who live independently, were either not very effective, were expensive, or both.
• Existing products and services that could help family caregivers assist seniors were: home care workers; respite services; personal assistants. These were either not very effective over the long term, or very expensive.

The brothers applied their extensive research with their personal experience as family caregivers of a senior loved one, extensive technology knowledge, and product development knowledge to develop a very effective, affordable, easy to use electronic assistive service that helps make life easier for both seniors and family caregivers. Out of their efforts came the CareMate® Service.

The CareMate® Service is just the first application based on an advanced core technology platform that the brothers have developed. They will be rolling out other innovative products and services over the next few years, based on this core technology.

Founders

Dennis Koverzin

Dennis is one of the two co-founders of Life Elevated Inc. He is an experienced hi-tech business development manager/expert. He previously started up 3 other hi-tech companies (IQ Life Inc., Koverzin Consulting, and Commerce Design Inc.). He was an executive with another small hi-tech company (Keen Computer Solutions).

Dennis has over 25 years experience in developing innovative technology-based solutions for the needs of business and society. He owns a pending patent on an advanced medical device. He has worked in Ottawa, Silicon Valley, California, and Winnipeg.

He has an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Manitoba. He is a Director with the Winnipeg Entrepreneur eXchange.

Raymond Koverzin

Raymond is one of the two co-founders of Life Elevated Inc. He is a highly experienced hi-tech product development specialist and manager. He has worked in Silicon Valley, California for 22 years where he has helped several hi-tech companies develop a variety of sophisticated technology-based products and services. In total, Raymond’s hi-tech career spans 27 years, including working for hi-tech companies in Ottawa and Montreal. He is the owner of 2 provisional patents.

A partial list of his work experience include:

• Lead Product Architect at Cisco Systems in San Jose, California, where he designed a Media Services Platform.
• Chief Software Architect at Kineto Wireless Inc. in San Jose, California, where he developed wireless and cellular technology.
• VP of Emerging Technologies at KDS Inc. in San Jose, California, where he developed advanced call center technology.
• Software Engineer at Vertical Networks Inc. in Sunnyvale, California, where he helped develop a voice/data PBX and advanced call center technology.
• Systems and Software Engineer at Nortel Networks Corp. in Mountain View, California, where he developed components for the Meridian 1 PBX.
• Software Engineer at Mitel Corporation in Ottawa, Ontario, where he was part of the pioneering team that developed computer-telephony integration technology.

He graduated with an Electrical and Computer Engineering combined degree from the University of Waterloo.

Philosophy of the Company

1. We believe that seniors are significant members of society. They deserve respect, regardless of their age.
2. We believe that seniors should be given the opportunity to live independently, ideally in their own homes, for as long as possible (if they so choose, and if it is safe for them to do so).
3. We strongly support the efforts of family caregivers who assist senior loved ones to live independently for as long as possible. We believe that this is one of the best ways (and most practical ways) to assist independent seniors especially into the future.
4. We believe that technology-assisted products and services can be beneficial for seniors and family caregivers, but they must be easy to use and affordable.

Mandate of the Company

1. Develop and sell innovative, effective products and services that help seniors to live independently for longer, with improved quality of life, and help make life easier and better for the family caregivers of these seniors.
2. These products and services must be effective, easy to use and affordable.
3. Develop and sell powerful, innovative products and services that help other parts of society - to make society a better place.
